2/14/2011 6:45:00 AM I worked at this Italian eatery for one month. The two owners of Pudgy's employ 14 illegal immigrants, most of whom cannot speak English. All employee's are paid off of the books, and there is no workers compensation. The two owners refuse to issue 'pay checks' to Americans; they tell their American workers that if we don't like it, they can find illegals to do our jobs. Most employees work in excess of eight hours a day, and are not paid overtime. Each one of the 14 illegal workers all claim to have 'birth certificates' and 'social security cards,' which they admit to purchasing. None of the workers (legal or illegal) are given 15 minute breaks or meal breaks.
